Long Overdue...

Boy, once you have a little one in the house, time certainly does fly. I can't believe I didn't update our blog between Thanksgiving and Christmas. We were so busy enjoying our time with Elizabeth that we never got around to downloading pictures and what is a blog entry without photos!
This holiday season was certainly amazing for us as a family. In December 2004, at the christmas dinner table we announced our adoption plans. A year later at Christmas 2005 we were hopeful and pretty certain that the following year we would have our baby home with us to enjoy the holidays. By Christmas 2006, we were still without Elizabeth without any reason why or with no certainty that we would get her in 2007 or at all. While we celebrated the Christmas with our families new additions, we were sad that we still weren't able to contribute a new member to the Christmas dinner table. I am not sure if all of the waiting and anxiety just made it this Christmas with our little girl so amazing or what but boy was it wonderful. She didn't really understand what all of the fuss was about but seeing her face light up whenever the christmas tree on, or learing to appreciate the big man in red or learning to unwrap presents (now if we could just teach her to appreciate the presents rather than tossing them aside in order to play with the wrapping!. Our little Elizabeth is absolutely the best gift we could have ever received. Enjoying the holidays through her eyes was the absolute BEST!!!!! Enjoy a few pictures of our December.

What a treat to see new pictures! My favorites are the one with her and Santa in front of the mantle and the one laying on the dining room table. Precious! Nancy was watching the slideshow with me and she was so impressed with how much she has grown.

Elizabeth is sure growing up fast! She seems so much happier now that she is here. I'm sure you will have a wonderful time with her as she matures later on in life; and becomes a wonderful young lady!

I love the pictures. Thanks for sharing them with us. Kids make life so much fun! Now you understand why we completely started over again. (Although the thought still occurs to me that we might just be CRAZY to have a 24 yr old and a 2 yr old.) Elizabeth looks so content! She's just precious. Oh, I like the bows, too.
