So much to be THANKFUL for

Thanksgiving 2007 brings so much for us to be thankful for. For 2 years, we have had an empty seat at our table just waiting for our little girl. In 2007, that seat is finally filled and oh what a blessing she is to us. We are forever thankful to have her in our lives. Everyday is a blessing. Everyday that she does something new, speaks a new word, or let's us see her beautiful personality blossom is something for us to be thankful for. We are thankful for everyone and everything (including some divine intervention) that made this particular little girl ours. We absolutely love her like crazy cakes and could not be more thankful! We are also thankful for the love and good health of our family and friends. We are blessed to have so many people around us.

Thanksgiving was, as you can imagine, a wonderful holiday. My parent's came from out of town to spend the weekend with us. Elizabeth was quite the helper getting ready. She helped bag up the cut green beans. I am not sure what happened but when I went to put on my shoes later, they were filled with green beans as well. She was going to help break the bread for the stuffing but she ate more bread out of the bowl than she broke. Elizabeth really didn't get what all of the fuss was about but she did appreciate that it included mashed potatoes!! Her ability to mimic words seemed so much greater this weekend. She copied so much of what my parent's said. Her little personality took over as well. For whatever reason, she would absolutely, postively, with out a doubt, not let them in our car. I don't know what fear it stirred in her but she got hysterical everytime we tried it. Hopefully we will get over that soon. We were not feeling our best so we didn't do anything huge accept enjoy our time together and let Elizabeth get to know her Grammy and Pop a bit more. I sure do wish we all lived closer. We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you were surrounded by those you are thankful for.

It looks like you have the whole family wrapped around your finger, Miss Elizabeth. Good job!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

She just gets prettier with every posting. Glad you had a great Thanksgiving. Doodlebug is beginning to repeat our words too. It's great to watch them make such great progress. We have really been blessed this year!
